Cameroonian cybersecurity researcher, creative and founder of the Mubify Impact Network, Clinton MBURLI (Mubi), has emerged winner of the Men In The Boardroom Logo Design Contest, organised by renowned entrepreneur and founder of XCAPE, Dr Edith Delight Gibson.

The highly contested design challenge brought together some of Cameroon’s most talented creatives to develop a visual identity for Men In The Boardroom, the male division of Dr Gibson’s widely recognised Ladies In The Boardroom initiative.
The initiative, which has received backing from the British High Commission in Yaoundé and Ecobank, is built around creating opportunities, promoting leadership and opening doors for individuals to access spaces of influence.
The challenge required participants to develop a logo that would establish a distinct identity for the men’s division while maintaining a visual connection with the original Ladies In The Boardroom brand.
Clinton’s winning concept approached this objective from a particularly interesting perspective. Rather than simply recreating the existing identity, our design explored the next stage of the leadership journey: moving beyond gaining access to occupying spaces of influence, growing in leadership and building a lasting legacy.
The resulting identity was an architectural structure representing the boardroom, ascending steps symbolising growth and progression, and an open entrance representing access and opportunity. The negative space also subtly forms the letter ‘M’, giving the symbol a distinctive identity.

The award, which came with a cash prize of 250,000 FCFA and a commemorative plaque, was formally presented to Clinton on November 4, 2026, by renowned host Vicki Fokala.
The presentation was made on behalf of Dr Edith F. Gibson, who was away on a business trip at the time.
Dr Edith, who is also the founder of the Tropical Dream Institute and the For Us By Us initiative, celebrated Clinton’s achievement and used the occasion to encourage Cameroonians at home and abroad to invest in exceptional talent back home.
She emphasised the importance of recognising, supporting and creating opportunities for young people who demonstrate outstanding potential, a philosophy she continues to champion through her various initiatives.

Receiving the award, Clinton expressed gratitude for the recognition, describing the opportunity to have his creative work contribute to an initiative of this significance as something he would always be proud of.
“I feel so happy to be celebrated this way. Having our work embody the essence of an initiative like Men In The Boardroom is something I will forever be proud of.”
He further acknowledged the support he received throughout the competition, particularly from his mentees and friends at Mubify, who were among the first people he consulted before taking on the challenge.
He dedicated the victory to his mentees, supporters and everyone who continues to believe in his work and vision.

At Mubify, we believe that exceptional talent deserves recognition, support and opportunities to thrive.
Our commitment to excellence extends beyond the programmes we run and the young people we nurture. It is reflected in the work we produce, the standards we uphold and the opportunities we pursue.
Clinton’s achievement is another encouraging milestone for the Mubify community and a reminder of what becomes possible when creativity, discipline and belief come together.
We are proud to see our founder’s work recognised on such a platform, and we look forward to continuing to push boundaries, create meaningful work and represent excellence wherever we find ourselves.
